Actor Victor Banerjee, who tested positive for Covid a few months ago, is set to return to the shooting floor after recovering. The veteran actor will soon be seen in Tathagata Bhattacherjee-directed film Akorik where Rituparna Sengupta is his co-star. Earlier, Victor Banerjee was seen in Tathagata's film 'Antarghat' in 2001 and this time the veteran actor is returning to Tollywood after a long hiatus with the same director.
Speaking about the film, it shows a beautiful bond between a 75 years old man playing by Victor Banerjee who grew up in a traditional joint family, and a 10-year-old kid who lives with his single mother. Although they belong to two different family structures, a beautiful bond of friendship is formed between them. Apart from Victor Banerjee and Rituparana Sengupta, the film also stars Anuradha Roy, Supratim Roy, Angana Bose, Sudeshna Chakraborty, Jayashree Adhikary, Anindo Sarkar, Abhishek Ganguli and child actors Swapnadip Adhikary and Ankan Mallick in the pivotal roles.
Actor Supratim Roy will play Victor Banerjee's reel son. Supratim Roy's character is the key part of the film. Audience will be able to see the film in theaters as well as on the satellite, OTT and Various film festivals.
