Bollywood singer Krishnakumar Kunnath mostly known as KK, passes away after a concert in Kolkata. His sudden death shocked the whole country including the Indian music industry. On Tuesday (31st May) he fell ill during the concert at Nazrul Mancha. He got in the car and told his driver that he was feeling very cold. After reaching the hotel in Dharmatala, the singer fell to the ground in his room. He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors. KK was in Kolkata for the last two days. The versatile singer came to attend the Vivekananda and Gurudas College events. His show was on Nazrul Mancha on Tuesday evening, unfortunately which became his last show.

From Tollywood stars to CM Mamata Banerjee mourned KK's untimely death.

Actor Jeet has written on Twitter 'Absolutely disheartened & shocked to hear this news #RIPKK… Words may not suffice to express the sorrow that I feel right now.. My deepest condolences to his family and fans all across' (sic).

Prosenjit Chatterjee wrote expressing grief 'Shocked! An unforgettable voice... KK will live in our hearts forever. Deepest condolences to his family, friends and well wishers' (sic).

Singer Shreya Ghoshal has expressed grief over the death of KK. She wrote on Twitter 'I am unable to wrap my head around this news. Numb. #KK Why! This is too hard to accept! Heart is shattered in pieces' (sic).

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also expressed grief over the sudden death of KK. She wrote on Twitter 'The sudden and untimely demise of the Bollywood playback singer KK shocks and saddens us. My colleagues have been working from last night to ensure that all requisite support is given for necessary formalities, his rites and to his family now. My deep condolences' (sic).
