Actress Sushmita Dey opens up about the untimely end of her show

The newly launched drama series is about to end its journey soon. The team of the show has also wrapped up the shoot. The last episode of the show will be aired this friday (5th August). It's really shocking for the serial lovers as well as the makers. Due to insufficient number of TRPs, the maker had to stop the show. The serial failed to make a place in the hearts of the audience from the beginning. Even, the chemistry of the lead pair Susmita Dey and Debojyoti Roy Chowdhury failed to impress the audience.

Why did the audience not accept Apu (Susmita) as Tiya?

In a recent interview, Susmita expressed her grief over this. She said, it is sad for all the members of Bouma Ekghor team including me. Suddenly I got to know that the series will not be shown anymore. In fact, I never dreamed that the series would end in just three months. However, I accepted the fact. 'I really did not understand why the audience did not like it.'

As the TRP was not up to expectations, 'Bouma Ekghor' was shifted from evening to late night slot. Still the show failed to win over the audience. Fans say that the show could not make it to the TRP charts due to the absence of extramarital affairs and the senseless fights of Sasuri-Bouma.

Apart from the lead pair Susmita Dey and Debojyoti Roy Chowdhury, the series also stars Nibedita Mukherjee, Subrata Guha Roy, Chaiti Ghoshal, Laboni Bhattacharya, Jina Tarafder, Aditi Ghosh and Riya Dutta among others.

The story of Bouma Ekghor serial is about two brothers and their families. One of them enjoys a luxurious lifestyle and is modern, while the other has some financial issues. The wives of the families compete with each other to prove whose daughter-in-law is better. Raju, who dreams of being an automobile engineer, works in a garage due to circumstances. Tia, a girl who daydreams, and has no wish to get a job, get married to Raju.
