A shocking news for the fans of TV serial 'Dhulokona' of Star Jalsha awaits! After completing a journey about 16th months with its viewers, the show is finally going off air. Leena Gangopadhyay, the writer of the show confirmed the news. Indrasish Roy and Manali Dey-Starer show will conclude its journey on TV soon.

A brand-new show titled 'Bangla Medium' can replace the slot. Despite having a good number of TRPs the makers decided to quit the show. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, the writer and co-producer of the show, Leena Gangopadhyay confirmed that news. When Gangopadhyay was asked about the news of the 'Dhulokona' closure, Gangopadhyay said, 'Yes, you heard it right'. However, she did not mention any reason behind taking this sudden decision.

The daily soap premiered on 19 July 2021. And also topped the TRP chart multiple times. Even last week, the show took the fourth position in the TRP chart with a rating of 7.0, which is good enough. But stills the makers and the channel authorities have decided to discontinue the show. Well, no official announcement has been made by the makers or the channel authorities about the decision to quit the show.

Daily soap 'Dhulokona' features Manali Dey and Indrasish Roy as the lead pair. Apart from them, the show also features multiple prominent actors like Sabitri Chatterjee, Ratna Ghoshal, Shankar Chakraborty, Anindita Raychaudhury, Debottam Majumdar, and many popular faces from the industry.
