Veteran actor Ranjit Mallick and daughter Koel Mallick to reunite for an OTT project?

Ranjit Mallick is one of the versatile actors in Tollywood. His performance has left a mark on the minds of the audience since the era of black-and-white cinema. Apart from the so-called masala films, he also acted in several family dramas which also got the same love as masala films. Now the veteran actor is all set to make his debut on the OTT platform. According to sources, Ranjit Mallick is set to foray into the digital platform with Haranath Chakraborty's upcoming web series 'Ghosh Babur Retirement plan', produced by Surinder Films.

Another interesting part is, Ranjit Mallick's daughter Koel Mallick, who is also an established actress in the industry will be seen in a cameo role in this series. Although the father-daughter duo shared the screen together in several Bengali films, it was a long time ago.

While OTT contents are mainly focused on mystery, thrillers, or paranormal encounters, Ranjit Mallick’s debut series ‘Ghosh Babur Retirement plan’ is a complete family drama. Its plot revolves around a retired person’s life while Ranjit Mallick has been roped in for the titular role. It is also heard that the shooting of 'Ghosh Babur Retirement plan', has started on January 12. Anjana Basu was supposed to star opposite Ranjit Mallick. But suddenly she fell ill, and the production team is now looking for a new face. However, no official statement has been made by the production company about the series yet.
