Ram Kamal Mukherjee's Binodiini: Ekti Natir Upakhyan Cast Revealed

It is already known that Rukmini Maitra will play the titular role in Binodiini: Ekti Natir Upakhyan, directed by Ram Kamal Mukherjee. And now the makers have revealed the entire cast for the film. And as we know, this movie will be produced under Dev Entertainment Ventures and Pramod Films banner. 

In the film, talented Rukmini Maitra will essay the role of Binodini Dasi, legendary theatre artist from Bengal from 19th century, and National Award-winning filmmaker and actor Kaushik Ganguly will portray the character of Girish Chandra Ghosh, who mentored Binodini and played the role of a catalyst in her life.

On the other hand, Bollywood actor Rahul Bose will play the role of Ranga Babu, who stood beside Binodini through thick and thin. One of the popular RJ and actors Mir aka Mir Afsar Ali will be seen in the iconic character of businessman Gurmukh Rai, who fulfilled Binodini's dream of having a theatre in her name. And Om Sahani will play Binodini's love interest Kumar Bahadur.

Binodini's influence on the theater stage of Bengal is still talked about. Ram Kamal Mukherjee will present her life to the screen through Binodiini: Ekti Natir Upakhyan where Rukmini Maitra will be seen as Notee Binodini aka Binodini Dasi. Ever since the announcement of the film, it has created a huge buzz in the industry. Fans got excited after seeing Rukmini Maitra's new avatar as Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in the first poster of this move. 

The film will show Binodini's acting career along with her relationship with Girish Chandra Ghosh which was started as a guru and disciple but later ended in conflict. Binodini at that time wanted the newly built 'Star Theater' in Calcutta to be named B-Theater after her. But she was cheated by a few people including her guru Girish Chandra Ghosh.

The story, screenplay, and dialogue of this epic film have been penned by Priyanka Poddar. Nilayan Chatterjee who has composed songs for Dev starrer films Kacher Manush and Kishmish will compose some beautiful tunes for this film as well.
