A new serial Agnishikha coming on Sun Bangla. Recently, the promo was released on social media. Television viewers are accustomed to watching women fight. Sun Bangla's new serial Agnishikha is based on it. The love story of an educated young city boy with an aboriginal village girl. The story shows, how an indigenous girl can become a well-educated town girl.
Shikha and Vicky are the main characters in the serial. Aratrika Maity will be seen as Shikha and Sourya Bhattacharya playing the role of Vicky(Bikram). Apart from Aratrika and Sourya, the series also stars popular Bengali television actress Chandrayee Ghosh. Chandrayee will be seen as an NGO Leader. Agnishikha serial is produced by Firdausul Hasan. The serial was initially directed by Anshuman Pratyush but later famous film director Anjan Chowdhury's son Sandip Chowdhury took over the responsibility.
Shikha a girl from an indigenous village, she is a very talented student. Everyone loves Shikha in her village. Shikha has been the first in the High Secondary Examination. Shikha dreams that she will study, get a government job, and improve her village.
On the other hand Bikram, the hero of the series. Vicky's father wants to run a resort in this village. Bikram's father promised to build a hospital there to win the hearts of the people of the village. The people of the village greeted them with garlands. When Shikha wears a garland to greet Bikram, Bikram wears that garland to Shikha. According to the rules of the village, the people of the village do accept it as marriage. But can Bikram do to accept her as his wife? Or even if Bikram accepts Sikha as his wife, can Bikram's family take Shikha as their daughter-in-law?

Director Sandip Chowdhury replied that it is not at all. This is not a story of a complex domestic problem. It is the story of an indigenous village girl becoming a town girl. This is the story of how a village girl became a city girl and became equal to Bikram's family.
