Actress Debashree Roy is returning to the screen again. Debashree Roy will play the lead role in the new serial produced by Snehashish Chakraborty. Debashree Roy was last seen on screen in Hatath Dekha directed by Reshmi Mitra. For the past several years she has been busy with her political career. Now the National award-winning actress Debashree Roy is returning to the acting world after ending her political career. Debashree Roy acted in various TV series before, but they were not mega serials. In 2013. She was the host of  Zee Bangla's most popular reality show Didi No. 1 season 5. Debashree Roy was also a part of Zee Bangla's another show Dadagiri Unlimited hosted by Sourav Ganguly.

After four years, she is coming back in the spotlight with Snehasish Chakraborys' next drama series. The series is going to be aired on Zee Bangla. The story of this serial will tell the story of a simple, ordinary girl of 70s played by Debashree Roy. This series will showcase the cultures of two different generations. Another interesting thing is that Debashree Roy will be seen dancing along with acting. Apart from Debashree Roy the series also stars Moumita Gupta, Manoj Ojha, and a number of newcomers. However, it has not been announced yet who will be seen opposite Debashree Roy. If all goes well, shooting will start next month, and broadcasting will start from June.
