Actor Abir Chatterjee was last seen in Bratya Basu's Film Dictionary with Nusrat Jahan. He has also hosted a music reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa on Zee Bangla. Now playing the lead role of Aparajito in Anik Dutta's upcoming film Aparajito.

May month is Ray month. The legendary Oscar-winning filmmaker Satyajit Ray came to this world on 2nd May in 1921. Director Anik Dutta is tributing to Satyajit Ray on his 100th birth anniversary. Aparajito is the second film of the Apu Trilogy which was released in 1956. But Anik Dutta's film Aparajito is different. It's not a remake of Ray's Aparajito or it's not a biopic of Satyajit Ray. This film is a totally different kind of film. The film is inspired by the making of Pather Panchali.

It is about the journey of Aparajito Ray played by Abir Chatterjee who makes a film Pather Padaboli. The story tells how Aparajito archives his dream. The story proves that if you can believe in yourself then you can make your dreams come true.

'The research work for the film has completed. We are looking forward to work on the film. But everything is on hold due to the current pandemic situations.  We were thinking to work from September because we wanted to capture the time. I hope everything will be normal as before' said director Anik Dutta.
