Paayel Sarkar will be seen as a cop in her next film

Actress Paayel Sarkar will be seen as a cop in her next film 'Shimanto' directed by Suman Maitra. She will be seen as an interrogating officer in the film. Apart from Payel Sarkar the film also features Shaheb Bhattacharya, Mainak Banerjee, Sudip Mukherjee, and Ronojoy in the lead roles.

Shimanto is a crime thriller film. The story revolves around a team from the Intelligence Bureau tasked with finding and destroying a criminal gang that is conducting dangerous operations in and around Kolkata, including the border area. Recently, Sumon Maitra has finished shooting for the film and is awaiting release .Simanto movie produces by Ratan Saha and Satadeep Saha under SSR Cinemas Pvt Ltd banner. Sumna Maitra's directional debut film 'Doshomi' Starring Koel Mallick, Indraneil Sengupta, Locket Chatterjee was a big hit. Apart from Bengali movies, he also has directed a hindi film titled 'Mutthi Bhar Sapne'.

Paayel Sarkar was the last scene on screen in Raja Chanda's directed film 'Magic' where her co-stars were Ankush Hazra and Oindrila Sen. Paayel Sarkar also Starring in Saptaswa Basu's upcoming film Jatugriha where she is sharing the screen with Parambrata Chatterjee and Bonny Sengupta.
