Actress Payel De is coming back on tv-screen with a new daily soap titled Sona Roder Gaan. She will play the lead role in the series. Apart from Payel De, the new tv-series Sona Roder Gaan is also starring Rishi Kaushik, Bhashkar Banerjee, and Shoumo Banerjee in the pivotal roles. The series also features Sohini Sengupta, Anindya Sarkar in the other key roles. For the first time, Actress Payel De and actor Rishi Kaushik will be seen together in Leena Gangopadhyay's new drama series Sona Roder Gaan where they are pairing up with each other.
Recently, a promo of Sona Roder Gaan has been released. The promo starts with Anandi (Payel De), the eldest daughter of her house. Anandi's parents are arranging her marriage with Vikram. But Vikram's parents demanded an expensive car as a wedding dowry. Anandi's father has to borrow a lot of money to meet Vikram's demands. Later it was seen that Anandi's father suddenly fell ill and Anandi take him to the hospital. Actor Rishi Kaushik will be seen as the doctor of that hospital.

Actress Payel De has recently been seen in Nayantara tv-series where she played Averi. Earlier, she has played the tertiary female lead as Ujjaini in Desher Maati tv series. She has also acted in popular shows like Prothoma Kadambini, Chuni Panna, Durga, Jai Kali Kalkattawali, etc. Besides tv-series, she has also been featured in films and web series like Mukhosh and Indu. Now actress Payel De will play the female lead role in Leena Gangopadhyay's new drama series Sona Roder Gaan where she will be seen opposite Rishi Kaushik.
