Actress Swastika Dutta to play a new character on screen. She will be seen in a completely different avatar in her upcoming film where she will play the role of a  singer. Swastika Dutta will be seen in Zee Bangla Cinema Originals film Nagar Baul Kotha where she will portray the character of Poli. Actor Sawon Chakraborty will play the male lead opposite Swastika Dutta.

Speaking about the story of the film, it revolves around Poli a strict girl who is struggling to manage a band in her college. She also plays the guitar and makes a storm of melody. The film is directed by Aranyak Chatterjee and produced by Tollywood actor-producer Parambrata Chatterjee. The film was shot in Kolkata and its residential areas.

Actress Swastika Dutta become a household by playing Radhika in Ki Kore Bolbo Tomay where her co-star was Krushal Ahuja. She has also been seen in a music video titled 'Thakur Jamai' choreographed by Sudarshan Chakraborty and Ranajoy Podder. She is also starring in Madhumita Sarcar and Rajdeep Gupta Starrer web series Uttoron. Swastika Dutta will play a prominent role in the web series. The series is also awaiting release.
