Arindam Sil directed film Mahananda's teaser has been released. Arindam Sil's film Mahananda will hit the theaters on the 8th of April, 2022. The film is inspired by writer, activist, and 'Padma Vibhushan' award winner Mahasweta Devi. Mahananda is not a biopic. The film will focus on the relevance of Mahasweta Devi's work in contemporary times as well as her dramatic moments in the social and political arena. A political context of that time can be seen in the film.

Recently, the teaser of Mahananda has been released, where a glimpse of a rebellious environment can be found. A rebellious environment that was created through protests and political conspiracies that Mahasweta Devi saw in her life and wrote in her book and how it affects her life will be seen in Arindam Sil's film Mahananda.
