Popular mythological show Mahapeeth Tarapeeth starring Sabyasachi Chowdhury, will end its journey soon. Rumors have been circulating for the past few days that the mythological show will shut down. The show has also changed the telecast time. Mahapeeth Tarapeeth will be aired at 11 am instead of 10 pm. But now, Director Subhendu Chakraborty has confirmed the news. The show was premiered on 4th February 2019. After a successful journey of three years, the makers have decided to close the show. 12th February is the last day of shooting for the show and the last episode of Mahapeeth Tarapeeth will be broadcast on 25th February.

Apart from Sabyasachi Chowdhury, the show also stars Nabanita Das, Sayak Chakraborty, Kushal Chakraborty, Goutam Halder, Rupankar Bagchi, Sanchita Bhattacharya, Raja Goswami in pivotal roles. Recently the show has welcomed veteran actor Biplab Chatterjee in a prominent role. Biplab Chatterjee has played a meaty in the show. He played Bishnu Das's character where he was seen as a Keertaniya.  The show has also welcomed popular faces like Anamika Chakraborty and 'Titli' fame Madhupriya Chowdhury in important roles.

Another popular mythological show on another entertainment channel where Sourav Saha and Sandipta Sen are playing the lead roles will also be shut down soon. In this new year, Bengali entertainment channels are bringing several new shows. But at the same time, many popular ongoing shows are going off-air.
