Actor Yash Dasgupta is gearing up to play a new character in Anshuman Pratyush's next film 'Rockstar'. This is going to be Yash's second film with the director after 'SOS Kolkata'. Yash Dasgupta will be seen as a rockstar in the film while Nusraat Faria is the leading lady. As Yash playing a rockstar's character for the first time, the fans will see him in a completely different avatar with long hair and lots of tattoos on the body.

Rock music plays a special role in the music world. But there are limited people, working on this theme. Besides, nobody talks much about rock music. That's why I chose this side, said Anshuman Pratyush, director of the film. In the film, Anshuman Pratyush is trying to highlight the struggle of a rockstar with both good and bad shades.

Director Anshuman Pratyush has already started his journey for the new venture from yesterday.

On the professional front, Yash Dasgupta is also starring in Shieladitya Moulik's political drama 'Mastermoshai Apni Kichu Dekhenni' where Nusrat Jahan will be seen opposite him. The story of the film follows a Mastermoshai (Teacher) who is the witness to the murder of one of his favorite students. But he couldn't share his experience with anyone as the antagonist could torture his family or him.
