Somraj Maity to be seen opposite Mimi Chakraborty in PB Chaki's film

Actor Somraj Maity is all set to play a new character on the big screen. This time Somraj will play the male lead opposite Mimi Chakraborty. Somraj Maity will be paired with Mimi Chakraborty for the first time in Premendu Bikash Chaki's film 'Palaser Biye'.  Well, 'Palaser Biye' is the working title for the film. The title may change in the future.

Director Premendu Bikash Chaki told a news daily that the film is a complete family drama which is a combination of comedy, love, and emotion. 'I did not want to portray anyone as a villain in the film but there are some thoughts', the director added. Writer Padmanabha Dasgupta who is also the co screenplay writer of Byomkesh films has written the screenplay for this film.

Actor Somraj Maity is one of the most popular faces in the Bengali tv industry. He was last seen on screen in 'Jiyon Kathi' serial where Aindrila Sharma was his co-star. At present Somraj is busy with his film projects. He has finished shooting two films back to back. The first one is 'Jai Kali Kalkattawali' where Nusrat Jahan and Susmita Chatterjee are his co-actors and the second one is 'Amrapali' a love triangle, where he will share the screen with Bonny Sengupta and pair up with Ayushi Talukder.

On the other hand, Mimi Chakraborty is also waiting for the release of her next two films. First, one is 'Mini' directed by Mainak Bhowmick, and the film will be released on 6th May this year, the second one is 'Khela Jowkhon' which is directed by Arindam Sil and the film will hit the theaters on 1st July this year.

Director Premendu Bikash Chaki is also directing 'Love Marriage' where Ankush Hazra and Oindrila Sen will be paired for the second time. The film also stars Ranjit Mallick and Aparajita Auddy in the key roles.
