Actor Yash Dasgupta has lost his mother forever. Last Sunday (3rd April) night, Yash's mother Jayati Dasgupta passed away due to heart attack. This afternoon (5th April), Yash informed the media about his loss. She was suffering from kidney-related issues for the last few months. Since Yash was out of town, he was in constant contact with the medical team to monitor his mother's health. Nusrat Jahan was always by Yash's side during difficult times. Yash said, ''My mother was so strong and brave mentally, this is how I will remember her for the rest of my life''.
On Women's Day, Yash shared a picture with his mother and penned in the caption 'We men should rather learn from a woman how to love & we too should motivate them like they motivate us. Salute & more Power to all the Woman, both on the domestic as well as the professional front. (sic). Yash requested that he and his family be given time and privacy to mourn at this moment, said a spokesperson from Yash's team to TOI.
