Jeetu Kamal to play a freedom fighter's role in Debaditya Bandyopadhyay's film Titumir

Jeetu Kamal, who is mostly known for his acting on Television has also left his mark in the film industry. By portraying the role of filmmaker Satyajit Ray in Anik Dutta's Aparajito, Jeetu Kamla has won the hearts of Cinema lovers. His look and outstanding performance as Satyajit Ray has been appreciated by the audience as well as the industry. Once again Jeetu Kamal will be seen in a completely different avatar that has never been seen before.

According to the report, Jeetu Kamal will play the lead role in Debaditya Bandyopadhyay's film Titumir where he will be seen as a freedom fighter. In the film, Jeetu Kamal  will play the lead role Titumir aka Syed Mīr Nisār ʿAlī . Titumir was a Bengali freedom fighter who developed a strand of Muslim nationalism coupled with agrarian and political consciousness. He is famous for building a large bamboo fort to resist the British, which has passed into Bengali folk legend.

The director of the film said, he has been working on the script of the film since 2016-17. It will be one of the biggest films in Tollywood and some VFX can also be seen in the film. After seeing Jeetu Kamal in Aparajito, he realized that he is the ideal for the role of Titumir.

Jeetu Kamal became popular for playing several roles on television. He acted in popular TV series like Guriya Jekhane Guddu Sekhane, Rangiye Diye Jao, Mahapeeth Tarapeeth, Raage Anuraage, etc. Before Anik Dutta's Aparajito, he has been a part of many Bengali films like Jor Jar Muluk Tar, Sweetheart, Adventures of Jojo, Erao Satru, Bidrohini, etc.
