| Kolkata 96 postponed: The shooting of Rahul Banerjee's film has been delayed |
Rahul Banerjee who is one of the popular stars in Tollywood currently playing the male lead in Laal Kuthi television drama. Besides acting, the versatile actor is going to make his directional debut with Kolkata 96, produced by Rana Sarkar. The debutante director planned to start shooting for the film from this month. But the director has decided to postpone the shooting of his film for a few months.
But why did director Rahul Banerjee do this? There are rumors in the industry that there is a conflict between the director and the producer. However, director Rahul Banerjee and producer Rana Sarkar both have opened their lips about this news. In a conversation with Anandabazar Patrika, Rahul said, it's fake news. We have postponed the shoot of the film, but there is a different reason. Both Rana Sarkar and I are outspoken. If there is a problem we express, it to each other. Half of the film is supposed to be shot in different parts of the city. Which is very difficult to do in this monsoon. So, the shooting has been postponed for a few months.
The interesting part is that Rahul Banerjee and Priyanka Sarkar's only son Shohoj is going to make his film debut with this film. Apart from debutante Shohoj, the film also features Ritwick Chakraborty and Sohini Sarkar in pivotal roles.
