'Lokkhi Chhele' Trailer: A battle between superstition and science to save a child

Finally, the trailer from one of the much-anticipated films 'Lokkhi Chhele' has been released. Today (30th July) the official trailer has been dropped on YouTube by the makers. Kaushik Ganguly's 'Lokkhi Chhele' movie is about a battle between science and superstition. Another interesting part is director Kaushik Ganguly's son Ujaan Ganguly who made his debut with Pavel's film Rosogolla will play the lead role in the film.

The fight between superstition and science, and caste differences embedded in the Indian social system will emerge in this film. On one hand the religious beliefs of the villagers, on the other hand, the efforts of urban educated doctors to save a child's life - who will win this battle?

Apart from Ujaan Ganguly, the film will also have Kaushik Ganguly's wife Churni Ganguly alongside Purab Seal, Ritwika Pal, Ambarish Bhattacharya, Babul Supriyo, and Indrasish Roy among others.

The film is scheduled to release theatrically on 25 August 2022.

The trailer shows a girl born in a so-called lower caste family who has four arms. The superstitious villagers start believing the child to be God. People also started worshiping the child. Even people from the upper strata of the society come to seek the blessings of this goddess. But the team of young doctors realizes that surgery is needed to save the child's life, otherwise, she may die. How will Amir (Ujaan) and his friends save the child's life by fighting religious bigotry and superstition? And the two bloody feet shown at the end of the trailer will really give you goosebumps.
