Several Bengali television series have ended over the past few weeks. And now one more is added to that list. Another popular program of Star Jalsha, Khelaghor, is about to end its journey on TV. Actors Syed Arefin and Swikriti Majumder were playing the lead pair as Shantu and Purna. Shantu-Purna started their journey on TV on 30th November, 2020 and after almost two years they are leaving the television screen forever.

Today (27th August) is the last day of shooting for the Khelaghor serial and the last episode of the show will be telecast on 4th September 2022. Khelaghor serial will end on TV after completing 630 episodes. After Irabotir Chupkotha, Syed Arefin has been seen in Khelaghor where her co-star was Swikriti Majumder. Model-turned-actress Swikriti Majumder made her television debut with this series where she played the female lead opposite Syed Arefin who is already a well-known face to the Bengali audience. Apart from this new pair, the series featured a number of popular faces of the industry like Sohan Bandyopadhyay, Dolon Roy, Subhasish Mukherjee, Mousumi Saha, and Jayanta Dutta among others.

The story involves a rich girl Purna Chatterjee, the daughter of Justice Barun Chatterjee, who gets accidentally married to an uneducated vagabond Shantu Gunda, a goon. Later, Purna found that Shantu aka Digbijoy Roy was a bright student at a time who gets jailed for 3 years for a crime he committed accidentally. However, destiny makes many events occur in the life of Shantu and Purna which eventually makes them both get close to each other.

The journey of almost two years is over. The audience loved Syed Arefin as Shantu. The duo of Syed Arefin and Swikriti Majumder also earned a huge appreciation.
