Rituparna Sengupta to play Maa Durga on Colors Bangla; check out the first look

Bengali has started the countdown for their much-awaited festival Durga Puja. And Mahalaya is closely associated with Durga Puja. Not only Bengalis, but people of all religions also look forward to this festival. Durga Puja is one of the much-awaited festivals all over India. Even, Indians living outside India celebrate this festival with people around them. Every year the entertainment channels compete to present the best shows in Mahalaya. And this year, a popular entertainment channel will bring Tollywood superstar Rituparna Sengupta as Maa Durga. Rituparna Sengupta will be seen on the small screen as Dashabhuja for the first time.

This year, another entertainment channel Colors Bangla will present a Mahalaya special show where Rituparna Sengupta will be seen in the role of Mahishasura Mardini. There are many speculations about who will be seen as Mahishasura Mardini in other entertainment channels. But Colors Bangla has officially announced that Rituparna Sengupta will be seen as Mahishasura Mardini on their channel this year. The channel has also released the promo of the show. In the video, Rituparna wears a red Banarasi saree and gold jewelry, and a crescent bindi adorning her forehead.
