Actress Sonamoni Saha who became a household name for playing Mohor on the television screen will portray the character of Mahishasura Mardini in Mahalaya show for the first time. People have already started the countdown for the much-awaited festival Durga Puja. Every year the entertainment channels compete to present the best shows in Mahalaya. Viewers are also interested to know which actress will be seen as Mahishasur Mardini on the channels.

This year, actress Sonamoni Saha will be seen as Mahishasura Mardini in Mahalaya show which will be telecast on another popular entertainment channel Star Jalsha. Actress Sonamoni Saha is also excited to play Mahishasura Mardini in Mahalaya. Sharing her excitement about her new avatar, Sonamoni said 'I always wanted to be a part of the Mahalaya Show. The audience has never seen me in such an avatar. But this year when the opportunity came to me, I couldn't say no'. Sonamani's fans will also be happy to hear such news.

Sonamoni Saha is currently playing the female lead in Ekka Dokka serial where her co-star is Saptarshi Maulik. The actress has several projects in her kitty. She will also be seen on the Big screen with her former co-star Pratik Sen. Producer Rana Sarkar's upcoming film has been taken by Sonamoni Saha and Pratik Sen in lead roles. Sonamoni Saha is also going to make her debut on the digital platform with  Abhirup Ghosh-directed web series 'Bengal Bima Company'.
