Daily soap Jamuna Dhaki to have a Marathi remake

The story of popular drama series Jamuna Dhaki, Starring Shweta Bhattacharya and Rubel Das will now be seen in Marathi flavour. Earlier we have seen many television drama series like Sreemoye, Krishnakoli with newly launched shows like Godhuli Alap, Gouri Elo have been remade in other religious languages. And now Shweta Bhattacharya and Rubel Das starrer serial Jamuna Dhaki has been added to the list.

If sources are to be believed, the newly launched Marathi television drama Daar Ughad Baye, Starring Saaniya Chaudhari and Roshan Vichare is a remake of the Bengali daily soap Jamuna Dhaki. While Saaniya Chaudhari will play the female lead as Mukta, Roshan Vichare who is one of the popular Marathi actors will play the male lead as Sarang opposite her. The story of Daar Ughad Baye is based on the same theme, but the makers have made a few changes in the script keeping the regional flavour in mind.

After two years of journey, Shweta Bhattacharya and Rubel Das starrer serial Jamuna Dhaki ended its journey on TV in July 2022. Prior to this, Jamuna Dhaki has also been remade in Punjabi titled 'Geet Dholi' where Gurpreet Kaur and Anmol Gupta playing the lead roles. Jamuna Dhaki has also been dubbed in Odia and both versions are enjoying a good viewership.
