Actress Deboshree Roy’s mother Arati Roy passes away at 92

Actress Deboshree Roy has lost her mother Arati Roy forever. On Tuesday (8th November), Deboshree Roy’s mother Arati Roy breathed her last. She was at the age of 92. According to family sources, she was suffering from various problems related to old age for a long time. She was staying with Deboshree's elder sister for the past few months where she breathed her last. Actress Deboshree and her sisters were with their mom when she breathed her last.  

Arati Roy fell and suffered injuries last August and was almost bedridden. Also note, Arati Roy’s eldest daughter is Krishna Mukherjee, Rani Mukherjee’s mom. But she was not there at that time due to physical illness.

Debashree has said several times that she came to the entertainment industry to fulfill her mother's wishes. From teaching her daughter dance to taking her to shoots, Arti Devi was always by Devashree's side. 

In an interaction with a news daily, Deboshree Roy’ said, 'I did not understand how mom left us. I became an actress because of my mother. There was no particular disease except the problems of old age. But at the end, she got all three daughters by her side, so she went very peacefully.
