Prasun Chatterjee's film Dostojee, which had its world premiere at the 65th BFI London Film Festival and has been screened at numerous festivals across the globe, is all set to hit the cinema halls in Kolkata on November 11, 2022. The film is set after the Babri Masjid demolition in India and follows the story of two eight-year-old boys who have to navigate the growing religious divide.

Prasun Chatterjee, who made his directional debut with Dostojee, has been appreciated all over the world. In fact, Bollywood megastar, Amitabh Bachchan also tweeted about this film, Bachchan Ji wrote, 'A unique film DOSTOJEE, by a young Bengali director Prasun Chatterjee, gaining laurels all over .. all good wishes (sic)'. Recently, the Tollywood superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee also shared the trailer of Prasun Chatterjee's film Dostojee on his social media handles. 

Prasun Chatterjee's film Dostojee features Arif Shaikh and Asik Shaikh in lead roles. The film features Arif Shaikh as Safiqul and Asik Shaikh as Palash. Apart from them, the film also stars Jayati Chakraborty, Anujoy Chattopadhyay, and Swatilekha Kundu in other important roles. 

Directed by Prasun Chatterjee, the Bengali feature film is produced by Kathak Talkies. The film won the top prize, the Golden Shika Award, at the Nara International Film Festival for 2022.
