Srabanti, Saurav, and Priyanka teamed up for Rana Sarkar's political drama

Political drama films are not new in the history of Indian cinema. But when it comes to Bengali films, there are only a few filmmakers who have made films with a political context. Rana Sarkar, who is one of the well-known producers in the Bengali Film industry is going to make a political drama film titled Mir Jafar - Chapter 2, directed by Arkadeep Mallika Nath. 

Well, for the first time, Srabanti Chatterjee, Saurav Das, and Priyanka Sarkar will be seen in a single frame through Arkadeep Mallika Nath's Mir Jafar - Chapter 2. Apart from, Saurav Das, Srabanti Chatterjee, and Priyanka Sarkar, the film also stars Ziaul Roshan, Ferdous Ahmed, Subrat Dutta, Sohini Sengupta, Bulbuli Panja, and Joy Sarkar in pivotal roles. 

Speaking about the film, the director said, 'the film is inspired by a controversial incident as we have seen in the state recently. Through this film, I want to highlight some events of a village in a political backdrop which are mostly unknown to us.' In this film, Saurav Das will play the role of Mir and Ziaul Roshan will essay Jafar. On the other hand, Srabanti Chatterjee will be seen in the role of a refugee, who escapes to this country from Bangladesh, and Priyanka Sarkar will be seen as a village girl in this film. 

Director Arkadeep Mallika Nath also said that he wants to present the film in a fresh way, which has a lot of action sequences and drama along with romance. If everything goes according to plan, he will start shooting this film from the last week of December, this year.
