Tollywood Producer Pankaj Das found dead in his office

Tollywood Producer Pankaj Das's body was found hanging inside his office in Golf Green. He was 58 years old. He was running his production office in a rented flat where he was found. He produced a film titled Shobdo Kolpo Droom, directed by Sudeep Das with an ensemble cast including Anindya Banerjee, Sudiptaa Chakraborty, and Dhritiman Chatterjee.

An employee of the office said that Pankaj had an argument with someone on the phone. According to witnesses, he was last seen returning to the office buying bread and bananas.

According to sources, Pankaj Das left the entertainment industry and joined an IT company where he was accused of embezzling 100 crore rupees. And because of that, he had to go to jail. He served 10-15 days in jail. After that, he joined a production company saying that he wants to make a new film and he has also arranged the money for it.

He was a resident of Ho Chi Minh Sarani, Kolkata. Besides film, he also produced several television series. He rented a house in Arabinda Nagar and opened the office of the production office. On Friday (11th November), the office staff found Pankaj's hanging body at the office. The local police came to the spot and sent the body to M. R. Bangur Hospital. The exact cause of the producer's death is yet to be known. The initial assumption is that he was suffering from depression, so he ended his life in this world.
