'Aparajito' director Anik Dutta admitted to a private hospital

Filmmaker Anik Dutta, who recently directed 'Aparajito', is admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata. The director was admitted to a private hospital in South Kolkata this Tuesday (10th January) morning with a lung infection. According to the report, Anik Dutta is currently in the ICU. He had been suffering from COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) for a long time, said the director's wife Sandhi Dutta. A few days ago, he also went to the doctor for a routine checkup.

According to a source close to the director, the filmmaker's health was not good for the past few days. Last Sunday (January 8) he was having some difficulty getting on the stage at an event. But he refused to go to the hospital. Dutta's physical condition suddenly deteriorated on Monday night. The situation reached such a level that the director could not even breathe. He was immediately admitted to a hospital near his home. He is currently undergoing treatment.

Speaking about the director, Anik Dutta is one of the established filmmakers in Tollywood. He started working on a film on Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay's novel Aschorjo Prodip. He also made a Bollywood film titled 'Gang of Ghosts', a remake of his Bengali film 'Bhooter Bhabishyat'. His last release 'Aparajito' Starring Jeetu Kamal in the lead role was a major success in his career.
