| Soham, Nusrat, Somraj and Susmita Starrer film ''Jay Kali Kalkattawali'' is set for Word TV Premier |
Sudeshna Roy and Abhijit Guha’s much-awaited film ''Jai Kali Kalkattawali'' Starring Soham Chakraborty and Nusrat Jahan is all set for Word TV Premier. Although it was slated for a theatrical release, now the makers have decided to release the film directly to TV and OTT. A leading Bengali entertainment channel is all set to premiere the film on its screen.
Apart from Soham Chakraborty and Nusrat Jahan, the film also stars Susmita Chatterjee and Somraj Maity in lead roles. In the film, Soham Chakraborty will be seen as a thief named Anish and Nusrat Jahan will play Anish's love interest Raka, who is educated but is unable to get a job. On the other side, Somraj Maity will essay Sujoy and Susmita Chatterjee will play the role of Mili opposite Maity. The romantic comedy revolves around three fraudsters Anish, Sujoy, and Mili. Cash-strapped Sujoy dreams of setting up a business while Mili is a struggling actress. For some reason, three friends get involved in stealing a precious gold statue of Goddess Kali. But they do not realize its actual worth. What happens next is the crux of the story.
A leading entertainment network called ''Zee'' is set to premiere ''Jay Kali Kalkattawali'' on 15th January, at 1:00 pm on Zee Bangla Cinema and at 3:00 pm on Zee Bangla.

The film marks Soham Chakraborty's first collaboration with Nusrat Jahan. This was also the first-ever big-screen project for Somraj Maity, who became a household name for playing the lead role in ''Ei Chheleta Bhelbheleta'' television drama.
