Yash, Rituparna, and Nusrat team up in an action thriller titled Shikarr

Yash Dasgupta, who is set to make his Bollywood debut with Yaariyan 2, has bagged a new Bengali film where he will be seen opposite her off-screen love Nusrat Jahan. Another interesting thing is that Yash Dasgupta will be sharing the screen with Rituparna Sengupta for the first time through this movie. Yash Dasgupta, Rituparna Sengupta, and Nusrat Jahan team up for Debraj Sinha's social thriller Shikarr.

The plot of Debraj Sinha's social thriller Shikarr is based on a village called Shantipur where Dev (Yash), a local hero, roams the village helping young and old. The people of Shantipur worship him like a true hero and women are crazy about him. Nusrat Jahan will be seen in a special role as Jinia. On the other hand, Sengupta will play the role of Agni, a single mother, who is posted as a government official in the village and later gets involved in a controversy that leads her to confront Dev. What happens next forms the crux of the story.

When Rituparna was asked about the project, she said, 'My character in this film is very interesting. Hope this film will reach audiences of all ages.' The senior actress is very excited not only about the film but also to work with Yash in this film. She said, 'It feels great to have the experience of working with a new generation artist like Yash.' The actor has the same opinion. He said, 'I am very happy to think that I will be able to work with Ritu Di in this film.'

The music and background score of the film will be helmed by Aditi Bose. And the action sequences will be done by Rajesh Kannan. The film is set to go on floors end of March.
