Dev and Mithun-Starrer film Projapoti is set to release on OTT

Here is some big news for fans of Dev and Mithun Chakraborty. One of the blockbuster films 'Projapoti' starring Dev, Mithun Chakraborty, and Mamata Shankar in lead roles is all set for streaming on the OTT platform. Experience the magic of this blockbuster film right at your fingertips, as ZEE5 announces its official streaming release. Directed by Avijit Sen, 'Projapoti' starring Dev, Mithun Chakraborty in lead roles, starts streaming from 14th April on ZEE5.

Apart from Dev, Mithun Chakraborty, and Mamata Shankar, the movie also stars Shweta Bhattacharya, Koushani Mukherjee, Ambarish Bhattacharya, Kharaj Mukherjee, and Biswanath Basu in other key roles. The film was released in theaters on 23rd December 2022 and became a blockbuster at the box office with a collection of around 12 crores.  It is the third highest-grossing film in the Bengali film Industry. 

Speaking about the story of the film, it revolves around a father and his son where Mithun Chakraborty plays Gaur, an aging widower who wants his son Joy (Dev) to get married and believes a bigger family could be an answer to his loneliness. However, his son, a busy wedding planner, doesn’t seem to have any plans of getting hitched.

The film not only features the legendary Mithun Chakraborty and the talented Mamata Shankar but also brings them together on the big screen once again, reigniting the same magic that made their collaboration in the timeless classic Mrigayaa (1976), directed by Mrinal Sen.

The film also marks Shweta Bhattacharya's debut film, the actress is known for playing leading roles on the small screen.

Produced by Dev, Atanu Raychaudhuri, and Pranab Kumar Guha, Projapoti movie holds a rating of 8.2 out of 10 on IMDb, a popular website for movie buffs and critics.
