Mouni Roy to play Satyavati Opposite Dev in 'Byomkesh Durgo Rahasya'?

It is already known that Dev is all set to play Bengali's favorite sleuth 'Byomkesh' in his upcoming film 'Byomkesh Durgo Rahasya'. The movie was announced by actor-producer himself on January 28, 2023, that day Dev completed 17 years of his journey in Tollywood. The 'Projapati' actor celebrated 17 years of his journey in the industry by announcing the movie though he did not reveal the cast then.

Now, rumors are rife in the industry that Bollywood actress Mouni Roy is going to make her Tollywood debut opposite superstar Dev in 'Byomkesh Durgo Rahasya' which will be directed by Birsa Dasgupta. While Dev will play the role of Byomkesh, Mouni Roy will be seen playing Satyavati opposite him. Not only that but there is also a surprise about Ajit's character. Actor Ambarish Bhattacharya who has been a part in several shows and films is likely to play Ajit in the film. 

Mouni Roy is currently seen as a judge on Dance Bangla Dance. It is heard that there is some issue between Mouni and the makers regarding remuneration. Once that is settled, everything will be final.

The shooting is planned to start from May. Dev's first 'Byomkesh' film is expected to release in on August 15.

A few days ago, Dev got injured on the sets of his much-awaited film Bagha Jatin. While shooting the action sequences of the movie, Dev had a thorn in his eye. Currently, the actor-producer is enjoying a blissful time with his girlfriend Rukmini Maitra in Maldives.
