Hiya Mukherjee and Subhrojit Saha-Starrer Show Nayantara to end its journey

In the past few months, we have seen several newly launched shows end their journey on TV earlier than expected. Daily soaps like 'Balijhor', 'Indrani' ended their journey on TV ahead of expectations. And now, one more TV serial has been added to the list. One of the popular shows of Sun Bangla titled Nayantara, starring Hiya Mukherjee, Subhrojit Saha, and Gaurav Mondal in lead roles is about to end its journey soon.

TV show Nayantara premiered in 2021 and today the team wrapped up the shoots for the show. After a journey of two years, the channel authority and the makers decided to quit the show. And the last episode of the show will be aired in the first week of May. Although it's a remake of Telugu daily soap Pournami, the Bengali show enjoyed a good viewership and gave the channel substantial TRP ratings.

The model-turned-actress Hiya Mukherjee made her television debut with this show, co-starring popular TV stars like Subhrojit Saha and Gaurav Mondal among others. 

The show follows Tara, whose biological mother died during her birth, but her stepmother Madhuja takes responsibility for her. Despite having a loving stepmother, Tara feels sad as her father hates her since she was born. How Tara finds her place in her father's heart and how she manages her life is the crux of the series.

Apart from the artists mentioned above, the series stars Swarnakamal Dutta, Arpita Roy, Sayanta Modak, Payel De, Debika Mitra, Abhijit Guha, and Ishita Chatterjee in pivotal roles.
