Hoichoi's new thriller series Jaatishawr, starring Rohaan Bhattacharjee and Madhumita Sarcar in the lead roles is all set to premiere on OTT. Directed by Sani Ghosh Roy, the suspense drama will be streaming from 21st April only on 'hoichoi'. However, the title of the series may remind you of Srijit Mukherji's film of the same name. But the web series has no similarity with the film.
Both Rohaan and Madhumita are popular familiar faces among Bengali audiences. For the first time, these two young actors will be seen opposite each other through Jaatishawr. Apart from these two, the series also stars Koushik Chatterjee, Bidipta Chakraborty, Ananya Sengupta, Manoj Ojha, and Krishnendu Dewanji in other pivotal roles.
'Jaatishawr' means a person who remembers things from his previous life. In the series, Madhumita will be seen playing the role of Rupkotha, a photographer. Rupkotha's profession brings her to Jomidarbari in Narayanpur where she begins to experience some unexplained events that lead her and the members of the Jomidarbari to believe that she has some strong ties to the family. The presence of the Rupkotha in the palace troubles many people. Soon, the people of Narayanpur Jomidarbari do their best to keep the past a secret and ensure nothing comes out of the closet.
