According to the police report, the director took Rs 20 lakh from Akshay Gupta, a resident of Rampurhat in Birbhum, promising to make the guy the hero in his next film. Allegedly, even after a long time, Pijush Saha did not return that money.

Akshay Gupta from Rampurhat filed an FIR against the director last year. Police arrested director Pijush Saha last Saturday based on the FIR lodged by Akshay. Currently, the director is in police custody, the court has rejected the bail application of the arrested director.

Akshay Gupta, who complained, told the media that he belongs to a middle-class family and his father died when he was too young. It was not possible for him to give 20 lakhs immediately, but he gave it, believing in the director. Akshay also said that he attended acting classes to him for a few days.

Allegedly, Pijush Saha then told Akshay that he had launched actors like Soham Chakraborty and Ankush Hazra so he can launch him too. Akshay stated that the budget of the film is around Rs 1 crore, of which Rs 50 lakh was supposed to be given by Pijush himself. According to Akshay, he is a village boy, so he believed Pijush Saha's words. But the director showed no interest in making a movie with Akshay.

Later, Pijush Saha also stopped receiving phone-call from Akshay Gupta. Even when Akshay's mother was suddenly diagnosed with cancer, he tried to ask the director for some money back, but the director didn't. Akshay Gupta said that he filed the FIR out of compulsion.
