Koel Mallick wraps up the shoot of her much-awaited film Jongole Mitin Mashi

Here's a good news for Koel Mallick fans and those who are eagerly waiting to see her back on screen as Mitin Mashi. On the auspicious occasion of Poila Baisakh (Bengali New Year), renowned filmmaker Arindam Sil made an announcement for ''Jongole Mitin Mashi'' and revealed a motion poster of the film. Ever since the announcement of the film, it has created a lot of buzz among fans as Koel Mallick will once again be seen in the role of Mitin Mashi.

And today (1st June), Koel Mallick and her co-stars wrapped up the shoot of the much-awaited film 'Jongole Mitin Mashi', directed by Arindam Sil. Mitin Mashi aka Koel Mallick herself shared the good news on her social media handles. Taking to her social media handles, Koel Mallick shared the news along with a few pictures with the entire cast and crew including the director. Sharing the pics, the Tolly queen wrote ''It’s a wrap! Has been a wonderful experience to play Mitin again!!! Braving 47°C (feels like 55°C) barbecued & grilled , we worked gleefully in the deep Saranda forest … This time Mitin’s journey was intensely emotional & immensely thrilling !!!! A film on wildlife conservation has been so expansively shot bringing forward such an important heartfelt social message,makes me feel so fortunate to be part of… Can’t wait for you to watch!''. (sic)

Apart from Koel Mallick, the film also stars Arijit Dutta, Subhrajit Datta, Kamalika Banerjee, Lekha Chatterjee, Ashim Roy Chowdhury and Sandeep Dey in pivotal roles. 

For the first time, Koel Mallick was seen as Mitin Mashi on 2nd October 2019 and the film was highly appreciated by both audience and critics and also performed well at the box office. Following the success of the film, director Arindam Sil decided to continue the franchise with Jongole Mitin Mashi. The second edition of Mitin Mashi franchise, 'Jongole Mitin Mashi' is based on 'Keralay Kistimaath' written by the novelist Suchitra Bhattacharya.
