Vikram Chatterjee and Swastika Mukherjee teamed up for Arindam Bhattacharya's crime thriller 'Durgapur Junction'

Actor Vikram Chatterjee's career seems to be on the right track as he has several films in his kitty. The young actor has already taken the industry by storm with his action-packed look for his upcoming film Pariah. And now, he has bagged yet another crime thriller film where he will be seen playing a cop.

'Shibpur' director Arindam Bhattacharya's next crime thriller film 'Durgapur Junction' will feature Vikram Chatterjee and Swastika Mukherjee in lead roles, where Vikram will Soumya, a cop, and Swastika Mukherjee will play the role of Ushasi, a journalist who has lost her husband forever due to a medical scandal.

Well, this will be the third time Vikram Chatterjee will share the screen with Swastika Mukherjee after 'Ami Aar Amar Girlfriends' and 'Saheb Bibi Golaam'.

Apart from Vikram Chatterjee and Swastika Mukherjee, Arindam Bhattacharya's crime thriller 'Durgapur Junction' will also have Ekavali Khanna, Rajdeep Sarkar, and Pradip Dhar in pivotal roles. 

The film's plot follows the mystery behind a series of murders and a journalist's desperate struggle to unravel the mystery with the help of a young policeman.

The story of 'Durgapur Junction' is inspired by a real-life incident from USA. Director Arindam Bhattacharya has recreated the story and set it in the backdrop of Durgapur.

The film will be shot in Durgapur, Bolpur, and Kolkata. According to the director, this film will hit the screens this winter.

Meanwhile, Vikram Chatterjee and Solanki Roy's movie Sohorer Ushnotomo Dine and Arindam Bhattacharya's 'Shibpur', starring Swastika Mukherjee and Parambrata Chattopadhyay in lead roles, are both set to release this June 30.
