Several new shows have been announced by Bengali general entertainment channels in the past few weeks. And one of them is now set to air on TV screens. One of the leading entertainment channels, Zee Bangla is all set to launch their brand-new show Phulki, starring Abhishek Bose and Divyani Mondal in lead roles. The channel has officially announced the telecast time for the show.
Zee Bangla's new show 'Phulki' starring Abhishek Bose and Divyani Mondal in lead roles, starts from 12th June and will be telecast Monday to Sunday at 7:30 PM. Yes, you read that right. This new show replaces the popular ongoing show, Gouri Elo. Interestingly, 'Phulki' will have a fresh pairing of Abhishek Bose and Divyani Mondal. While debutante Divyani Mondal will play the titular role, the popular actor Abhishek Bose will play her love interest.
Earlier we have seen many shows based on different subjects like Badminton, Gymnastics, Cricket, and even Detective and now the popular entertainment channel is coming up with a variation with their new show Phulki where a woman competes with the men by her boxing skills.
Speaking about the show, it revolves around Rohit & Phulki, and their passion for boxing. Phulki, a cheerful girl who has to face numerous struggles in her life as she belongs to a family which is not financially strong and even her mother is ill. This young woman who is financially unstable but talented dreams of becoming a boxer one day. On the other hand, Rohit, a former boxing champion, keeps himself away from his passion due to his harsh past. How these two people meet each other and fill each other's voids and embrace their flaws with love forms the crux of the story.
