Abir Chatterjee in talks to rope in Mithun Chakraborty-Starrer 'Kabuliwala'

Actor Abir Chatterjee is on a roll these days as he has several films in his kitty. A few days ago, the actor wrapped up the shoot for his action thriller Raktabeej and is busy these days promoting his upcoming rom-rom Biye Bibhrat. Amid these, Industry is buzzing with another rumor these days that Abir Chatterjee may join Mithun Chakraborty in his next film 'Kabuliwala' which will be released this Christmas.

Reportedly, the makers of Kabuliwala have approached Abir Chatterjee for a key role in the film. However, the actor is yet to sign any official contract for the film. Actress Sohini Sarkar, who is mostly known for playing Satyabati opposite Abir Chatterjee on screen, has also been offered to play an important role in the same movie.

If all goes according to plan, Abir Chatterjee will be seen playing a key role in Mithun Chakraborty-Starrer film Kabuliwala where the disco dancer actor will be seen in the titular role. This is the second time director Suman Ghosh has joined hands with Mithun Chakraborty for his film after 'Nobel Chor'.

Many actors have played the role of Kabuliwala aka Rahmat Khan before Mithun Chakraborty. Chhabi Biswas portrayed Kabuliwala in Tapan Sinha's Bengali film. In Hindi, audiences got Balraj Sahni and Danny Denzongpa in this iconic role. And now the audience will see Mithun Chakraborty in this revered role.
