'Cheeni 2', starring Madhumita Sarcar and Aparajita Adhya in lead roles is now ready to hit the cinema halls. Directed by Mainak Bhaumik, Aparajita Adhya and Madhumita starrer drama film 'Cheeni 2' will hit the cinema halls on 11th August, this year. The makers have officially revealed the release date of this film on their social media handles.
Once again, the duo of Madhumita Sarcar and Aparajita Adhya will be seen on the silver screen in Mainak Bhaumik's 'Cheeni 2', who previously directed Madhumita and Aparajita in Cheeni.
Taking to social media, the makers of 'Cheeni 2' shared the first look and announced the release date of the film.

Apart from Aparajita Adhya and Madhumita Sarcar, Cheeni 2 also stars Anirban Chakraborti and Soumya Mukherjee in pivotal roles. While Anirban will be seen as Aparajita’s husband Shubho, Soumya Mukherjee has been roped in the role of Sammy who has a soft corner in his heart for Cheeni (Madhumita). Well, this is the first time, Anirban Chakraborti will be seen opposite Aparajita Adhya. Veteran actress Lily Chakravarty will also be seen in a key role in this movie.
Director Mainak Bhaumik said in an interview that 'Cheeni 2' is not a sequel of 'Cheeni' which was released in 2020. This film will be more of a metaphoric continuation revolving around a young girl who befriends a woman who’s her mother's age. How two women of different generations become friends despite a huge age gap and help each other to solve problems in each other's love stories is the crux of the story.
