It's Official: Dev and Srijit Mukherji to team up for a film, co-starring Rukmini Maitra

Here is some good news for all the fans of Dev and Srijit Mukherji. The much-awaited actor-director duo is going to be made in 2024. Actor-Producer Dev himself shared this exciting news on his social media handle. After Zulfiqar, Dev will be working in Srijit Mukherji's directorial for the second time in 2024.

A few days ago, it was known that Superstar Dev can be seen in Srijit Mukherji's film, based on the ''Battle of Palasi'' in which Dev will play Siraj ud-Daulah, known as the ''Nawab Of Bengal''. It was also learned that Mukherji had already engaged in discussions on the project with Dev. However, Dev did not respond to this news at that time. But fans were hoping that the news turned out to be true.

And today, Dev himself delighted his fans and movie buffs by announcing his next with Srijit Mukherji in which Rukmini Maitra will be the leading lady.

Taking to social media, Dev shared this news along with a couple of pictures with Srijit Mukherji and Rukmini Maitra. Sharing the post, Dev captioned ''Finally it’s official…. We are coming in 2024''. However, the actor did not give any hint about the topic of the film.

Meanwhile, Dev is busy these days with 'Byomkesh O Durga Rahashya' and completing the last schedule of shooting for his much-awaited film Bagha Jatin. Directed by Birsa Dasgupta, 'Byomkesh O Durga Rahashya' is slated to hit the theaters on 11th August, and 'Bagha Jatin' is scheduled to release on 20th October this year.

On the other hand, Srijit Mukherji is also busy with his upcoming web series based on Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay's Durgo Rahasya. Srijit Mukherji's Byomkesh series stars Anirban Bhattacharya in the titular role where Rahul Banerjee will play Ajit and Sohini Sarkar will play Satyabati. After that detective series, Mukherji will start working on 'Dasham Avatar', a double prequel of 'Baise Srabon' and 'Vinci Da'. It is also known that Srijit Mukherji and Ditipriya Roy to reunite for the biopic of Bina Das, an Indian revolutionary and nationalist from West Bengal.
