Filmmaker Anik Dutta, who earlier directed Jeetu Kamal in his film Aparajito, is coming up with a new detective thriller 'Jato Kando Kolkatatei' in which Abir Chatterjee will be the lead hero.

We all read Satyajit Ray's Feluda adventure 'Joto Kando Kathmandute', which was based in Kathmandu, Nepal where Feluda's investigation into a mysterious death takes him and his companions to Kathmandu. Well, let me make it clear to you that filmmaker Anik Dutta is coming up with his own story 'Jato Kando Kolkatatei' which is based in Kolkata. The title of this film may be similar to Satyajit Roy's Feluda adventure, but Anik Dutta will tell a different story in his film 'Jato Kando Kolkatatei - The Calcutta Case' featuring Abir Chatterjee in the lead.
'Jato Kando Kolkatatei - The Calcutta Case' is a joint venture of Friends Communication and Big Screen Productions House. The makers of the film took to social media to make an official announcement by sharing a poster of the film. They also revealed that the film will be released on the occasion of the city's anniversary in 2024.

Apart from Abir Chatterjee, the film also stars Bangladeshi beauty Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed in a key role. Suchismita Dasgupta will design costumes for actors and actresses while Anand Ananda Addhya will be the art director.
