It was reported that the National award-winning filmmaker Kaushik Ganguly is going to pay a tribute to the legendary filmmaker Mrinal Sen with his film 'Palan', starring Jisshu Sengupta and Paoli Dam in lead roles. A few weeks ago, the makers shared a poster of the film and now the film is all set to hit theaters on Mrinal Sen's 100th birth anniversary. Yes, Kaushik Ganguly's film 'Palan' will hit the theaters on 22nd September, this year.
On the auspicious day of celebrating 76 years of India's independence, the makers of 'Palan' movie shared the news along with a poster of the film on social media.

Apart from Jisshu Sengupta and Paoli Dam, the film also stars some versatile actors from the industry like Anjan Dutta, Mamata Shankar, Shreela Majumder, Debpratim Dasgupta.
''He was one of the finest directors in our country. His ideas and vision towards cinema were remarkable. His film 'Kharij' released in 1982 inspired me to make Palan'', said Kaushik Ganguly in an interview with a popular news daily.
