Vikram Chatterjee is on a roll these days as he has several projects in his kitty including Pariah, 'Durgapur Junction', and 'Ke Prothom Kachhe Eshechi'. And now, the reports reveal that Vikram Chatterjee and Sohini Sarkar have been roped in for a romantic movie 'Amar Sangi', which will be directed by Dibya Chatterjee.
About Vikram Chatterjee and Sohini Sarkar's movie
Debutant director Dibya Chatterjee is coming up with his first Bengali film 'Amar Sangi', featuring Vikram Chatterjee and Sohini Sarkar in lead roles. Also, this is the first movie for Vikram and Sohini where they will play each other's love interest. In the film, Vikram Chatterjee will play the role of Anurag, a writer and childhood friend of Joyee (Sohini Sarkar).
As per the plot of the film, since childhood Anurag and Joyee are best friends of each other which later turns into love. Their parents also agree to their marriage, but something happens in their lives just before the wedding that forces them to take a different path. The story revolves around whether they can rekindle their bond and once again embrace the title of each other's 'Amar Sangi'.
According to the director, 'Amar Sangi' is a working title for this project, and it may change later.
About director Dibya Chatterjee
Dibya Chatterjee is mostly known for his work in Hindi entertainment Industry. Amazon Video series Afsos, starring Gulshan Devaiah in the lead role, was created by Dibya Chatterjee along with Anirban Dasgupta.
