Actor Jeetu Kamal's career seems to be on the right track as he has several films in his kitty including 'Babushona', co-starring Srabanti Chatterjee and 'Aponjon', co-starring Ritabhari Chakraborty. And now the 'Aparajito' actor has bagged yet a new movie 'Aranyer Prachin Probad' in which he will play the male lead and Rafiath Rashid Mithila will be the leading lady.
Writer Dulal Dey, who also scripted Dev starrer 'Golondaaj' with Dhrubo Banerjee, is coming up with a detective thriller film, 'Aranyer Prachin Probad' featuring Jeetu Kamal and Rafiath Rashid Mithila in lead roles. Apart from Jeetu Kamal and Rafiath Rashid Mithila, the film also has some prominent artists of the industry like Suhotra Mukhopadhyay, Silajit Majumder, and Loknath Dey.
Talking about the film, the writer and director of 'Aranyer Prachin Probad' said ''there are many shades in my story. The hero of my story is different from others. He does not spy very intentionally. He is a medical student who is also very passionate about cricket. He started his journey as a detective when he unexpectedly gets involved in a mystery. But yes, he also loves Bengali literature like others.''
''I have been offered to play a detective character before this. I got the chance to play the role of Kiriti. But I think Feluda or Byomkesh is very commercial here. And of course, the actors acted great in their own way. But this detective character is different. He does not spy very intentionally. I felt that doing this character would be beneficial for me as an actor. So, I agreed'' said Jeetu Kamal.
Councillor Ananya Banerjee will be seen as a guest in this film. The cinematography of the film will be done by Pratip Mukherjee, known for Raktabeej (2023), Bhotbhoti (2022), and Abar Bochhor Koori Pore (2022).
