Actress Somashri Bhattacharyya joins the cast of 'Tomader Rani'

Actress Somashri Bhattacharyya, who has been a part of several drama series including 'Nojor' and 'Shubho Drishti', has bagged a new role in a newly launched show. She will now be seen in the brand-new show 'Tomader Rani', starring Abhika Malakar and Arkaprovo in lead roles. Somashri has already joined the cast of the show and started shooting for the upcoming episodes of the show.

Right from the very first episode, the show has kept the audience glued to the screen with back-to-back twists and turns. And talking about the TRP rating of the show, it got a rating of 5.5 on the charts this week. However, now the makers of 'Tomader Rani' are going to add some new twist by introducing Somashri Bhattacharyya to the show. While Abhika Malakar and Arkaprovo playing the lead pair, Somashri Bhattacharyya will be seen playing a negative role in the show. Somashri is likely to play protagonist Durjoy's ex-girlfriend in the show.

Talking about Somashri Bhattacharyya, she was recently seen in Hoichoi' series 'Nikhoj', starring Swastika Mukherjee and Tota Roy Chowdhury in the lead roles. Prior to the web series, Somashri was seen in Arunima Halder and Writwik Mukherjee's serial Mon Dite Chai'. Apart from all the television dramas and the web series, Bhattacharyya also played the lead role in Aakash Aath's Serial 'Ikir Mikir'.
