Popular Bengali daily soap Gouri Elo, starring Mohana Maiti and Biswarup Bandyopadhyay in lead roles, is about to end its journey soon on TV. Team Gouri Elo has already wrapped up the shoot for the show. Actress Mohana Maiti, who plays the titular role in the show, shared the news with her fans and followers with a heartfelt message on her social media handle.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Gouri aka Mohana Maiti shared a series of pictures with her co-stars, director, and crew members from the sets of Gouri Elo where they completed the shooting of the last episode of the show. Sharing the pictures, Mohana Maiti wrote a heartwarming note that read ''One year and nine months of journey has come to an end today. I remember the first day when my hands and feet got cold thinking how I would give shots and how I would deliver my dialogues. If I make a mistake and the director gets angry with me. But I did it because everyone encouraged me that day. Swarna sir said why are you thinking about it, don't worry you can do it. Everything will be fine.'' Apart from Mohana Maiti and Biswarup Bandyopadhyay, the series also featured popular actors like Samata Das, Chandreyi Ghosh, Mousumi Saha, Bhaswar Chatterjee, and others. And, Rishita Nandy, who was one of the contestants in the dance reality show Dance Bangla Dance Season 12, made her acting debut with this show. Rishita Nandy was seen playing the role of protagonist Ishan and Gouri's daughter Tara in the show.
Mohana Maiti and Biswarup Bandyopadhyay starrer show premiered on 28 February 2022. Now the newly launched show Mili, starring Kheyali Mondal and Anubhav Kanjilal in lead roles, will replace its slot. Although it did not make a good impression on the TV screens, the series has created a lot of viewership on online streaming platform. However, the TV show Gouri Elo is all set to end its journey on TV. But the good thing is that nowadays people can watch their favorite shows anytime through streaming platforms. Although the episodes will not contain anything new.
