Popular Bengali musician Kabir Suman has been admitted to Calcutta Medical College with chest infection and heart problems. He is currently on oxygen support. It is known that the artist was admitted to the CCU of the medical college around 2:30 pm on Monday (29th January). Kabir Suman was rushed to the hospital when he felt sick at home due to heart problems.

The artist is admitted to the super speciality block of the medical college. A special medical board has also been constituted for his treatment. According to hospital sources, Kabir Suman was sick for the past few days. On Monday, the artist was rushed to the hospital when his physical condition deteriorated. The singer was suffering from acute respiratory distress due to heart problems. Kabir Suman is under the supervision of the doctors of the Department of Medicine and Cardiology. As per the latest reports, the condition of the veteran artiste is currently stable. The 75-year-old artist is responding to treatment. 

Doctors are discussing for better treatment of Kabir Suman. After being admitted to the hospital, the doctors conducted several physical tests on the artist and currently waiting for the medical reports.

Kabir Suman is one of the established artists in the Bengali entertainment industry. He was also honored with the National Award as Best Music Direction for the film Jaatishwar which starred Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jisshu Sengupta, and Swastika Mukherjee in lead roles. 

A few days ago, the veteran artist expressed his grief over the death of Ustad Rashid Khan. In an interview, he said, 'I was very shocked, Rashid Khan was much younger than me''.
