Sauraseni Maitra joins Abir and Subhashree Ganguly in Raj Chakrabarty's film

It was earlier reported that Subhashree Ganguly and Abir Chatterjee pairing up in Raj Chakrabarty's upcoming movie based on Buddhadeb Guha's novel Babli. Ever since the announcement of the film, it has created a buzz among the audience as it is the first film where Abir Chatterjee and Subhashree Ganguly will be seen together. Despite being so popular in the industry, Subhashree and Abir have never been seen together on screen before. 

While the lead actors of Raj Chakraborty's Bubli have been announced, the names of other actors in the film are still unknown. However, now we have got some new updates about Raj Chakraborty's upcoming film 'Babli'. If sources are to be believed, Sauraseni Maitra has joined Abir and Subhashree Ganguly in Raj Chakrabarty's film 'Babli'.

Based on the novel by Buddhadeb Guha, Babli is a love story revolving around three main characters where Abir and Subhashree have already been roped in for the two lead roles. However, it is not yet known whether Sauraseni Maitra is playing the 3rd lead role alongside Abir Chatterjee and Subhashree Ganguly in the film 'Babli'.

If all goes according to plan, Raj Chakraborty will start shooting for 'Babli' in February 2024. 

Sauraseni Maitra's work front

Actress Sauraseni Maitra is currently busy shooting for Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee's film Aamar Boss which stars veteran actress Rakhee Gulzar in the lead role. After completing the shooting of this film, Maitra will start the preparation for 'Babli'. This is the first time Sauraseni Maitra will work under Raj Chakrabarty's direction.

Maitra is also starring in Raajhorshee De's upcoming film Sada Ronger Prithibi. Based on widow trafficking, the film is waiting for its theatrical release.
